We are an affirming, non-profit organisation in Melbourne, Australia that supports Catholics who identify as Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Intersex, Queer, Questioning and all of their allies.
Acceptance Melbourne empowers one another through fellowship and understanding, believing in God’s love for all. We provide a safe and sacred place for spiritual growth.

We provide a safe and sacred space for LGBTIQ+ people to celebrate Mass on the second Friday of every month from 8PM at:

50y of Acceptance: Honouring the past, finding the present, dreaming the future
Acceptance Melbourne presents the final installment of our 50th-anniversary series, celebrating a half century commitment to our Victorian community. In March 2024, we hosted a thought-provoking panel discussion at the Victorian Pride Centre.
Our esteemed panelists—Earle Goldie, Teresa Ma, Fr Kevin McGovern, and Dr. Fran Donovan—explore the past, present and future of LGBTQ+ Catholics in the Church.

Midsumma Mass Friday 9 February
Thank you to all who joined us for our special 9 February monthly Mass to celebrate Midsumma in Melbourne. We were delighted to welcome fellow LGBTQIA+ Christians from other faith groups who were with us.
Melbourne Pride March Sunday 4 February
Thank you to members who proudly marched behind the Acceptance banner in the Melbourne Pride March on Sunday 4 February. Our theme this year was "Gold" to mark our 50th anniversary. Safe, friendly and fun, despite the hot Sunday weather! Mark first Sunday in February 2025 in your calendars now.
